CCSO Chapter Presidents’ Workshop:
CCSO is excited to host our Chapter Presidents’ Workshop at the Monterey Marriott, from October 21-23. All Chapter Presidents and Vice Presidents are invited. We hope to see you all there. Since this is our first in-person event in quite a while, we have many great things planned and anticipate a successful workshop!
CCSO will continue to accept registration forms for the October 21-23 Chapter Presidents Workshop until Monday, Sept. 20. After that date, a standby list will be generated to fill any open vacancies.
Contact the CCSO office with any questions.
Annual Supervisor Time Bank Drive:
Representatives will be visiting various institutions over the next few weeks, hoping to have many of you sign up for an annual STB donation. This is a new opportunity for CCSO members to donate a specified amount of hours annually, every February. STB time is very important to keep the organization functioning successfully. It provides the opportunity for our members to attend important events such as meet and confers and State Board meetings in order to keep fighting for supervisors.
Bargaining Unit 6 and Affiliated Excluded and Exempt Employees One-Time Cash Out of Compensable Leave:
Per the approved economic package, all managers and supervisors affiliated with BU 6 are permitted one-time cash out of up to 80 hours of compensable leave. The memo and form were emailed out to all staff on September 15, 2021, and are due back to your local personnel office by October 15, 2021. Requests will be processed on a flow basis beginning November 2021, and payments will issue by November 19, 2021.
CCSF Second Annual Golf Tournament:
CCSF held our second annual charity golf tournament on Friday, September 10, 2021, at the Lincoln Hills Golf Course. Approximately 150 members and affiliates attended the event. There were numerous games throughout the course, including a golf ball launcher, closest to the pin winner, and a chance to beat State President Art Gonzales! Lunch and drinks were provided on the course, and dinner was served following the tournament along with the announcements of raffle winners. The event was a huge success and we had a tie for first place between the J.R. Oviedo Law Group and High Desert State Prison. If you missed this year, no worries, we will be there again next year. Also, since our tournament has been such a great success, we are branching out to the central valley and have another tournament planned in Bakersfield on March 11, 2022. Mark your calendars and head over and register today! CCSF is extremely appreciative of our donors, attendees, and volunteers – thank you for your generosity and help which made it a great day!
