Dear CCSO Members,
With profound sadness, we inform you of the passing of our esteemed founder and first president, Richard Tatum. Rich’s vision and dedication were the driving forces behind establishing the California Correctional Supervisors Organization (CCSO) 32 years ago. His unwavering commitment to putting the needs of our members first has been the cornerstone of our organization’s mission.
Rich was not just a leader; he was a mentor, a friend, and a tireless advocate for all of us. His strong will and determination set the standard for what it means to lead with integrity and compassion. Through his leadership, we have built a community that supports and empowers one another.
While we mourn the loss of Rich, we also recognize the importance of continuing his legacy. We are committed to upholding the values he instilled in CCSO – putting our members first and foremost in everything we do. Rich’s legacy will remain a guiding light as we navigate the challenges ahead.
Let us cherish the memories we shared with Rich and honor his legacy by supporting each other and working towards our common goals. Together, we will ensure that the spirit of Richard Tatum lives on in everything we do.
