State Election Nomination Deadline Extended:
Due to an expired postal permit, the return of nominations for the 2025 State Election was slightly
delayed. As a result, ballots were held at the post office and were not promptly delivered to
Berger & Company.
To ensure fairness and allow all eligible members the opportunity to participate, the State Board
of Directors convened on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at the 3rd Quarter State Board Meeting and
passed a motion to extend the nomination deadline for tallying purposes.
This extension underscores the Board’s ongoing commitment to maintaining transparency and
accessibility throughout the election process.
Revised 2025 State Election Schedule
• Nominations Returned: October 6, 2025
• Nominations Tallied: October 17, 2025
• Contact Nominees By: October 22, 2025
• Submit Photo and Candidate Statement By: October 24, 2025
• State Election Ballots Mailed: November 7, 2025
• Deadline to Return Ballots: December 8, 2025

ANOTHER IMPORTANT REMINDER:
CCSO offers paycheck protection through the California Law Enforcement Association (CLEA),
providing peace of mind in the event of an accident or injury. Custody staff can enroll for $36 per
month, while non-custody staff pay $35 per month. For more information, please contact the CCSO
Office, and our CLEA representative will reach out to answer any questions.
At the most recent CLEA conference, it was voted to implement a rate increase of $0.50 beginning in
July 2026, with an additional $0.50 increase each July thereafter—unless a motion is made and
approved during the April CLEA conference to stop the increase.
